Die Bank in Hamburg is a brasserie and cocktail/oyster bar in interiors that used to be a bank, with some interesting details that enhance the atmosphere such as high ceilings and a walk-in safe that has appropriately been converted into a winecellar. There is a terrace area for al fresco dining on sunny days. The brasseries is open Monday-Saturday, for lunch midday-4.40pm, for dinner 5.30pm-10.30pm. The menu has something for all tastes, with an international cuisine supervised by chef Henning Wulf, who dedicates attention to regional, sustainable ingredients. The bar is a great place at which to end a memorable Hamburg evening: it is open Monday-Saturday from 11.30am but the atmosphere is best after 10pm for an after-dinner cocktail, a glass of fine wine or a liqueur.
